Terms and privacy
These are the rules for using Prøvetrening for vektere, and how we handle your information. Last updated 8 October 2026.
This is an English translation provided for convenience. If there is any difference between the versions, the Norwegian version applies.

Terms of use
1. About the service
Prøvetrening for vektere (provetrening.no and prøvetrening.no) is a practice tool for security guard training and recertification. By using the site, you accept these terms and the guidelines.
2. Access and account
- You get access by contacting us. We decide who is given access.
- Your username and password are personal. You may not share them with others or let others use them.
- If you suspect that someone knows your password, tell us immediately and you will get a new one.
3. Price
The service is currently free. If we start charging later, you will be told well in advance. You will never be charged unless you have chosen to buy access yourself.
4. A practice tool, not an official exam
- We have no agreement with the police, the National Police Directorate, training providers or schools.
- The results here are not an official test, and a good result here is no guarantee that you will pass the exam.
- We work to make sure questions, answers and explanations are correct, but mistakes can happen and the rules can change. In case of disagreement, the law, the curriculum and what you learn in your training take precedence.
- The content is general information and not legal advice.

5. Copyright
Questions, answer options, explanations, texts and design on the site belong to Prøvetrening for vektere. You may use them for your own practice. You may not copy, take screenshots of to share, publish, sell or otherwise distribute the content, or extract it automatically, without our written consent.
6. Operation and changes to the service
We try to keep the site running and up to date, but cannot promise that it will always be available or free of errors. We may change, expand or close the service. If we close it, we will notify users as far as possible.
7. Liability
The service is provided as it is. We are not liable for losses resulting from the site being unavailable, the content containing errors, or for your result on an official test. This applies to the extent permitted by law and does not limit any rights you have under mandatory law.
8. Closing access
- If you break the terms or the guidelines, for example by sharing your account or the content, we may close your access without notice.
- You can ask us to delete your account at any time. We will then also delete the information linked to it.
9. Changes to the terms
We may update the terms. The date at the top shows when they were last changed. For major changes, we will let you know on the site.
10. Governing law and disputes
The terms are governed by Norwegian law. If you have a complaint or disagree with something, contact us and we will try to find a solution. If that does not succeed, the matter can be brought before the ordinary courts.

Who is responsible?
Akerholt AS is the data controller for the personal data processed on the site. Questions about privacy can be sent to post@provetrening.no.
What do we store, and why?

We do not store which answer option you chose, and we do not ask for your name, phone number or any information other than what is listed above. The information is not used for advertising and is not sold.
Who can see the information?
- You can see your own results and your own mistakes under My mistakes.
- The administrator can see the results listed on the guidelines page, but not which questions you have answered wrongly.
- Other users cannot see anything about you.
Providers
The site is hosted and stored by Vercel Inc., which is our data processor. Vercel may process information in the USA. The transfer is based on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and/or the EU’s standard contractual clauses. The font on the site is loaded from Google Fonts, and Google can then see your IP address.
How long is the information stored?
- Each result is deleted automatically when it is older than 12 months. Logins and My mistakes are deleted when they have not been used for 12 months.
- The username is stored until the account is deleted.
- When the site changed address, progress could be moved with a temporary code. Unused codes are deleted after one day.
- Technical information in server logs is stored briefly, according to the provider’s routines.
Cookies and storage on your device
We use one cookie, which keeps you logged in for up to 30 days. It is necessary for logging in to work and therefore does not require consent. In addition, your browser stores an ongoing test and a few settings, such as your chosen language, locally on your device, so that you do not lose the test if you close the page. We do not use any cookies for tracking or advertising.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- access the information we hold about you
- have errors corrected
- have the information deleted
- receive the information in a common format (data portability)
- object to processing based on legitimate interest, and request restriction
Send an email to post@provetrening.no and we will reply within one month. If you believe we are processing your information in breach of the rules, we would like you to tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet).
